If you have just a few hours a week, the Waterman Center could use your help.

Below is a listing of areas where volunteers help keep the center running.

Please check the following area (s), which you would like to volunteer for:

______ TEACHER/NATURALIST -Lead programs for school groups that visit our center. Training is

provided.

______ WEEKEND NATURE SHOP- Assist gift shop customers and run cash register. Training is

provided.

______ WEEKEND INFORMATION DESK- Provide information to our visitors, both in person and on

the phone.

______ BUILDING MAINTENANCE- Painting, staining, and repairing the main interpretive building,

barn or pavilion. Some basic tools provided.

______ TRAIL MAINTENANCE-Help clear the trails, spread mulch,and clean

water bars on our trail system. Tools and wheelbarrow provided.

______ EXHIBIT CONSTRUCTION/MAINTENANCE- Help design, build and maintain our

teaching exhibits.

______ SPECIAL EVENTS -Assist the staff with preparations for, and staffing

of special events such as the Halloween Hikes.

______ GARDEN- Plant and weed the Lolita Waterman Wildlife Garden and other

gardens around the building.

______ OTHER- Please list a specific skill you have that we might be able to

use at the Center.
