Waterman Conservation Education Center

Summer Camp Counselors-in-Training (CIT)

Become part of our teaching team as you work with teachers to organize lessons and teach programs, maintain teaching areas, supervise recreation periods, and introduce children to live animals.

CITs have fun and adventure and make friends.  The workweeks are flexible to accommodate vacations.  The weeks provide excellent experience for future jobs.  You get to choose which weeks you would like to help out.

Requirements:

1. You must be between the ages of 15 and 17 and be enthusiastic about working outdoors with children ages 5-11.

2. We ask that you volunteer for an entire week at a time (M-F) and be available from 8:30am - 3:00pm. (Weeks need not be continuous)

3. Call the Waterman Center at 625-2221 for more information.  Print out a Counselor-in-Training application.  Please respond by June 1.
