The Waterman Conservation Education Center in Apalachin, NY is dedicated to increasing environmental awareness and outdoor recreation. Waterman operates four wildlife refuges that are open everyday during daylight hours. Waterman's main site on Hilton Road, is open weekdays from 9 to 4, Saturday from 10 to 4 for the public. Closed on Sundays.

Directions to Waterman Center: 
From New York Route 17 (future 86), take exit 66, Apalachin. Follow signs to Route 434. Turn right onto Route 434 and travel 1.5 miles. Turn left on Hilton Road. Go to top of the hill, the Center is on the left.

 

The Waterman Conservation Education Center manages four sites in the Tioga County area and one site in the Broome County area. Click on the map to visit the Hilton Road location, Hiawatha Island, Brick Pond or Apalachin Marsh. Click on the The Glen link above to visit The Glen.
