Waterman Center Summer Day Camps

August 8th thru 26th

Week #1 August 8th - 12th

Bugs and Butterflies

It’s really buzzing out there! During this week of exploration, learn about bugs and butterflies. Discover how they live, where they can be found and the benefit or harm they can do. Tune in your antennae and hike, play creepy crawly games, and make 6 legged crafts. We’ll see insects for the miniature marvels they are. They are the earth’s most diverse creatures.

Week #2 August 15th - 19th

Hiawatha Island Adventure

Set a course for adventure. Climb aboard the Waterman boat and catch a ride to Hiawatha Island. This will be a week of exploration with all 5 days on the Island. Learn to build shelters, learn trail signs and safety as you roam the forest. It will be a time of nature discovery, games and just plain fun.

Week #3 August 22nd - 26th

Wet and Wild

‘Wet’ your appetite with water exploration, crafts, and games. Spend the week learning about rivers, creeks & wetlands and see who lives there and why. You can get wet every day. Nature exploration and hikes round out this exciting week! So grab your water bottle and let’s hit the trail!
