About the event
Welcome the start of summer with the birds of the IBM Glen!
Join naturalist Michelle to learn about the many birds of our IBM Glen preserve. We will look and listen for the many nesting birds that call the IBM Glen home, including Eastern Towhee, Indigo Bunting, Wood Thrush, Veery, Scarlet Tanager, Black-throated Green Warbler, and many more! Birds will likely be high up in the tree canopy, so we will be listening for singing birds even if they are not visible. As we are in the middle of nesting season, there is also a strong likelihood of encountering fledgling and juvenile birds.
Sturdy footwear is recommended, as trails may be muddy and steep at times. Binoculars are recommended but not required, as we will be birding both by sight and by ear.
Registration is required and limited to 15 participants.
$5/person for non-members and FREE for Waterman Center members.
