About the event
Come to the Waterman Conservation Education Center for an afternoon of fun learning how to do basic wood crafts! Each participant will create a project to take home and work with others to build nest boxes for birds of prey like owls and hawks at Waterman Center nature preserves. This workshop is presented in partnership with local BSA Troops and is designed for all children ages 5th grade and up who are interested in learning more about woodworking and are curious what scouting is like. Registration for this event is free, but we ask for a suggested donation of $5 per participant to cover materials costs and benefit the Waterman Cetner's important projects. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
