About the event
Join the Waterman Center as we celebrate our 50th anniversary and highlight our six local nature preserves! Learn about the history of Apalachin Marsh, how it was saved by Harriet Marsi and friends from having a highway built through it, and its current role as a wildlife refuge!
Registration is required and limited to 20 participants.
Carpooling is highly recommended, as parking is limited at this location.
Location information:
The Apalachin Marsh parking area is a gravel pullout off of the Westbound lane of NY Rt. 434, around half a mile from the turnoff to Hilton Road. There is a small green Tioga Trails sign on the fence where the trail begins. The location is marked on Google Maps, but not on Apple Maps.
