About the event
Learn the basic tools to begin a life-long enjoyment of birds! Enjoy a short talk about the basics of birdwatching, including basic bird biology, identification tips, binoculars, field guides, and local birds. Explore hands-on displays where you can test out binoculars and spotting scopes, look through bird guides, learn about birding resources like eBird, and discover local birding hotspots. If weather permits, join us afterwards for a walk on the Waterman trails to put what we’ve learned into practice by identifying the birds that we see.
$5 suggested donation to benefit Waterman Center for hosting event.
