Join whimsical, costumed guides for a winter-themed activity day at the Waterman Center! Can you imagine living outside all winter? Learn all about the fascinating ways that different animals adapt to the cold through a brief self-guided walk through the woods.

About the event
Old Man Winter has returned to bring cold weather back to the Waterman Woods for another winter. Can you imagine living outside all winter? Explore our educational trail to discover our woodland creatures' remarkable abilities to adapt to the cold that help them survive the frigid temperatures. Join whimsical, costumed guides for a a brief self guided walk along a trail decorated with beautifully hand-painted animals and taxidermy. Stations will be set up along the trail to talk about each animal! Warm up after with some hot beverages and winter-themed crafts inside!
Admission includes a guided hike, crafts, a free winter themed book and an activity grab-bag for the next snow day. Hot beverages will be available. Cost: $5 per person. Children under 3 are free. Be sure to indicate how many adults & children are in your party when registering. Limited ticket sales will be available at the door, space permitting, so register soon to guarantee your spot!
